RGS-AWS RUN FOR COVER 2020

Join us for the 1st Annual Virtual RUN FOR COVER! Kick off your preparation for the 2020 grouse and woodcock season with a 1 block, 5k or 10k event. This virtual event will take place the weekend of September 4th-7th. Choose the day, time and route that work best for you. Get the family and kids involved and don't forget the dog(s) too!

What is RGS-AWS?

RGS & AWS are North America's foremost conservation organizations dedicated to healthy forest habitat for ruffed grouse, American woodcock and all forest wildlife. RGS & AWS works with landowners and public agencies to conserve habitat through science-based management practices. 


Schedule: 
Friday September 4th: join CEO Ben Jones at 10:00 EST am for a live feed shotgun start on National Wildlife Day! 
Saturday September 5th-Monday September 7th: Get out and participate in the virtual event at a location and time that suits you!
 

Swag: 
All human participants will receive a RGS-AWS custom neck gaiter and all animal registrations will receive the dog tag bottle opener key chain. Your swag package will be mailed late August, no later than August 28th. We will do a second mailing after September 7th for anyone who registers after August 28th.
Wear your swag at the virtual event or before and tag us on Facebook or Instagram using #RUNFORCOVER. We will be awarding random medals for race times entries and those social media posts. So be sure to enter your time when you finish and get out there and take pictures with your swag as soon as you get it!

Awards:
Medals will be randomly awarded to those who enter their times. These medals will be mailed out after the event. 

Three Simple Steps to Participate: 

1. Register all entrants for the distance of your choice.(Click on REGISTER NOW in upper right hand corner of page) All money raised will go to support forest conservation and our mission. Earlybird pricing is $25.00 until August 28th. Price than increases to $30.00 until September 7th.  

2. Get out and Run for Cover in support of Healthy Forests and Abundant Wildlife. Don't forget to share your photos with us on Facebook, #RUNFORCOVER.

3. Upload your time to Its Your Race and print off your Finisher Certificate. Click HERE for details on how to upload your results.
